Jag släpper min nya singel "I'll give up" nu på söndag 29 december!✨🎯
En låt som jag skrev 2019 och som blev klar 2022 och är nu äntligen inspelad!
En del har nog hört denna när jag spelat den ute på konserter sen 2022 och jag har fått så fin respons. Någon sa att han fick lite Aerosmith-vibbar av den. Haha, det är inte dåligt! Kanske bidrog Jimmy Romans gitarrsolo och den övertygande sången med den tydliga, nästan desperata refrängen till det omdömet...? 😅 Kul att den nu finns inspelad och snart i lokalradion!
Låtens budskap
Inser att titeln av denna låt lätt kan komma att missuppfattas; det är inte direkt att man ”ger upp” - som att man struntar i saker, utan mer syftar till att ge upp sitt eviga kämpande med att kontrollera och försöka styra naturens gång ”I’ll give up holding on too close, too tight… ” för vi kan omöjligt ha hela bilden klar för oss, det finns saker som vi helt enkelt inte förstår. Mer ett form av att ”ge upp” till något högre inom sig själv…
På så sätt handlar låten också om det svåra i att acceptera saker så som de är, att kunna omfamna osäkerhet och att ha tillit till att man blir vägledd och att allt blir precis som det ska vara:

I'll give up this no-where-going-fight
And I'll give up again, and raise my hand
To be illuminated and shown the way"

I release my new single "I'll give up" this sunday the 29th of December!✨🎯
The song was written 2019, was done 2022 and is now finally recorded!
Some of you have heard this song when I have performed it on concerts since 2022 and I have recieved beautiful reviews. One guy said that he got "Aerosmith-vibes" listening to it. Haha, that is not bad! Maybe it was Jimmy Romans guitar solo and the convincing and strong refrain that contributed to that review...? 😅 I am so glad that it is finally recorded and soon to be played in the local radio.
The message of the song
I realize that the title of this song can easily be misunderstood; it is not about "giving up" - in which you ignore things, but more about giving up ones eternal struggle to control the outcome and the natural order "I'll give up holding on too close, too tight... ” because we cannot possibly see the whole picture clearly - there are things we simply "cannot understand". It´s more a form of "giving up" to something higher within oneself...
But at the same time, in this way, the song is also about the difficulty in accepting things as they are, being able to embrace uncertainty and having confidence that one is being guided, everything will turn out the way it should:
"I'll give up just trying to get it right
I'll give up this no-where-going-fight
And I'll give up again, and raise my hand
To be illuminated and shown the way"
